Although it is located in Tokyo, we are holding various exploration-type experiences in a field rich in nature, which is the gateway to Okutama. This time, we will not only explore, but also explore the precious creatures and natural environment there. Experience the actions to conserve. This program uses fireflies, a rare creature, as a representative example, and allows participants to experience through their own actions the meaning and role of preserving the environment of clear streams in the forest.
Parents and children are welcome to come and enjoy the Forest Guardian Experience, where you can enjoy rich nature and rare creatures in the clear stream area of Akigawa Valley, and experience activities to preserve the environment. -
[Forest guardian experience to preserve the precious natural environment! ]
As a "guardian of the forest", we will carry out environmental conservation activities in the surrounding area. Learn about the meaning and role of protecting nature from teachers who are actually involved in environmental activities in the field. I hope you will join us in protecting fireflies and other clear stream creatures by conducting conservation activities and observing nature yourself.
[Time for geo (earth) exploration activities! ]
The area where conservation activities are being carried out includes the remains of a quarry called Ina Stone, a rock that has been used by people since ancient times. You can experience the heritage of the earth while learning about what kind of stone Ina stone is and how it has played an active role in history, which is connected to the history of the earth and people.
