Zero High School and Tokyo Mountain Side Hold Innovation Project
The Tokyo Mountain Side, which accepts 20,000 parents and children annually through an inquiry-based nature experience learning school, has partnered with Zero High School, led by Takafumi Horie, to innovate in the education sector. From March 20 to 25, Zero High students stayed in Tokyo Mountain Side to explore local possibilities and create innovations. On the final day of the project, March 25 (Monday), the Zero High students presented the results of their five-day experience to the local residents.
At Zero High School, we focus on creating an environment where students learn through "practice" in "society," which is different from textbooks, schedules, and learning within school buildings. In partnership with "Tokyo Mountain Side DMC, Inc./General Incorporated Association Force Wellness," which offers inquiry-based nature experience learning schools in Tokyo Mountain Side, we utilize the region's natural and cultural attractions to provide Zero High students with earning experiences.
Zero High students have been given the mission to "revive and add value to the region's buried treasures." They took on the challenge of program planning, from the profit structure of revenue to methods of attracting customers.
Tokyo Mountain Side DMC conducts collaborative projects with educational organizations such as school corporations. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
